Caring for your candle :
Before lighting your candle, trim the wick to ¼ of an inch to allow for a clean burn and prevent mushrooming of the wick.
Make sure that the candle vessel itself is clean of any debris that may have fallen into the candle jar.
Make sure your candle is on a heat-resistant surface in a well-ventilated room but with minimal draft.
In order to get the most out of your candle, you have to let it burn until the entire surface has turned to liquid wax. This allows for an even burn each time, preventing tunneling. Suggested time at least 1 hour and not more than 4 hours at a time.
Do not move the candle once it has been lit. Moving is can cause hot liquid wax to spill over the sides. or the flame to dance and cause it to over heat the jar.
The safest way to extinguish a candle is with a snuffer, preventing the wax from splattering.
Stop burning your candle when there is only ½ an inch of wax left, so that the glass vessel doesn’t overheat.
We hope you have a wonderful experience with our handpoured candles.
